WHAT'S NEW?
INTERVIEWS
Our OUT OF LAW feature is with Ben Fordham, who left Linklaters last week at 1yr PQE to open a restaurant on Goodge Street in July. We spoke to him about his plans and how he is feeling about such a big change. And of course we asked how he's managed to put the plans into motion while no doubt working long hours at a top firm. You can read about him here.
Our WITHIN LAW feature is with James Watson, who is the Director of Legal Affairs at Ascent Media. After working at Withers and McGrigors, he got a taste for in-house work on secondments to KPMG and O2 and hasn't looked back since. However he also thinks that moving in-house doesn't preclude a return to private practice at a later date. You can read about him here.
RECRUITMENT
Moretolaw has links to lots of law firms, recruiters, companies and small businesses and can help you with your job search. We can also simply give you some ideas or put you in touch with someone useful to speak to. If you would like to move jobs (whether within or out of law) then email us here, giving us an idea of:
- your current position; and
- what you are thinking about doing, even if the answer is "I don't know where to start."
We will then get in touch with you and, if we think we can assist you, we will ask you to register with us and send us your CV. We will then take it from there...
