After leaving first Slaughter and May, and then law completely, James Hodson did a Masters in Creative Advertising at University College, Falmouth.  He is now a junior copywriter at Agency Republic and is enjoying every minute of his new career in advertising.  We spoke to him about making such a big change.

Have you considered studying again?  This week we spoke to Martin Luff, a 3yr PQE employment lawyer who is currently doing a Masters in Law at the University of Texas in Austin.  We asked him why he decided to go back to being a student and the benefits of doing an LLM, as well as the practicalities of how much it costs and how the application process works.

Tim Wakefield was called to the Bar in 2001 and practised as a barrister until June 2007.  However, during the last 18 months of his time in Chambers, he did a part-time MBA at the London Business School.  We asked him about mixing work with study, why he wanted to make a change from law, and about the job options available to lawyers after doing an MBA.
